  2026 Drama Australia Conference: PLAY!    
Friday 27 February to Sunday 1 March | Perth College, Boorloo (Perth)   
 Drama Australia and DramaWest, in association with Perth Festival, Perth College, Business Events Perth, Edith Cowan University and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts proudly presented the 2026 National Conference for Drama Educators.

With a three-day program comprising of a WAAPA City Campus tour, East Perth Power Station networking event, engaging keynote addresses (Andrew Bovell and Dr Julie Dunn), performances, workshops and research papers, as well as offerings and event discounts from our partners at Perth Festival. This national gathering inspired our extraordinary national and international Drama community through a state of play.

DramaWest threw Drama Australia a magical Sundowner Birthday party to celebrate 50-years, featuring a live cupcake performance and celebrations, including the renewing of DramaWest Life Membership for Gary Hodge.

  2025 AGM    
   Saturday 8 March | Perth College, Boorloo (Perth)   
 On International Women's Day we celebrated our 2024 achievements with inspirational Keynote Speaker, Julia Hale. DramaWest shares their gratitude and thanks to our outgoing Committee Members: Jessica Wellman, Karen LeRaye, Hannah Smith, Samantha Burt, Julie-Ann Dawe, Maisy Watson and Jemma Pickering. We welcome new Committee Members David van der Tang and Claire Crammond! 
  2024 State Conference: Fusion    
   Saturday 7 December | Bob Hawke College, Boorloo (Perth)   
 In 2023, we gained momentum and were positively charged, ready to combine forces and solidify new partnerships. with each new fusion in 2024, we generated greater 'matter' and produced otherwise unattainable energies with for for our DramaWest community. Special Guests included Lynne Bradley (Zen Zen Zo) and Professor Fiona Stanley with Victora Midwinter Pitt ('I'm With Her'). We welcome our new Life Member - Angela Zaknich! Thank you to Bob Hawke College for hosting and to our Conference Conveners - Georgie Perrott and Josh Lang.  
  2024 AGM

 ‘DramaWest + Perth Fest.’
DramaWest shares their gratitude and thanks to our outgoing President Brooke and committee member Felicity. We wish you the very best for your future endeavours. In partnership with Perth Festival, we offered a post-AGM Perth Festival industry professional learning workshop at the Blue Room Theatre, followed by a sundowner networking event at His Majesty’s Theatre VIP Circle Bar AND an immersive theatrical experience with Perth Festival’s production of ‘Food’! 
  2023 State Conference: Momentum  
  Saturday 2 December | Shenton College, Shenton Park  
Momentum is the forward movement that comes after the suspension of breath, it is the moment of propulsion, of putting intentions in action. Momentum has energy and purpose. Our intention for this conference was to inspire our Drama education community to pick up speed, gather momentum and head into 2024 with just that...momentum. Including a keynote address from Shona Erskine and a special preview performance of Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company’s “Sista Girl”, we were delighted to see our Drama education community come together with enthusiasm and energy for another wonderful conference.
 2023 AGM 
Saturday 18 March | Perth College, Mt Lawley
Our 2023  AGM featured a keynote address from Director, Jacinta John, updates from SCSA Drama Principal Consultant, Max Leech and a series of practical workshops. We also honoured long-standing committee member, Sven Sorenson, as he resigned from his role as Treasurer after more than 10 years of service to DramaWest.
2022 State Conference: Breath
Saturday 3 December | Perth College, Mt Lawley
Our 2022 conference theme foregrounded and explored the central role of breath in our work, lives and community as drama educators and practitioners. We were honoured with a moving Welcome to Country by Alton Walley and keynote address from Teresa Jakovich.
