AGM & WA Curriculum Professional Development workshop and Call for Committee Nominations:
Saturday 23rd February, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm AWST

The 2019 DramaWest AGM will be accompanied by complimentary workshops exploring how teachers can maximise their teaching and assessment of the Drama curriculum (P-12)
THREE workshops will be offered for participants to select from:
– Primary (P-6) Drama;
– Middle School (7-10) Drama; and
– Updates to the Drama WACE syllabi (presented by Max Leech), and collaborative approaches in 11-12 Drama
Tea/coffee and light refreshments will also be provided.
This is a FREE event for current (2019) DramaWest financial members. If you are not currently a member, you can purchase membership here, or select the non-member ticket for this event, which includes 2019 single membership registration. When purchasing your ticket, please also select ONE from the relevant workshop options available.
You may find it useful to bring your laptop, or device, for this event. Wifi access will be made available.

2019 Drama Australia National Symposium: RENEWAL

On the Winter solstice and the final weekend of Tasmania’s iconic Dark Mofo festival, Australia’s drama education community will have the opportunity to gather.
A program of provocative and cutting-edge research and academic papers, alongside practical and breakout workshops, the Symposium will stimulate, regenerate and revive your thinking and practice.

Student WACE Exam Preparation Workshops:
Thursday 11th & Friday 12th July
DramaWest will be providing a fantastic opportunity for Drama students completing the 2019 WACE examinations. DramaWest is offering a series of revision workshops in the July school holidays to help students prepare for both the written and practical exams.
The workshops will be conducted by experienced Drama educators and WACE examiners. This two day workshop will give students a practical understanding of how to do well in the external examination for Drama (practical and written).
